Two guys, one shot, and nobody around to film it.

We're Tim Thiede and Alex Taylor, the founders of HoleShot Golf.

We met over wrenches, not clubs. We work together in the performance automotive world — Tim on the fabrication side, Alex as a technician — building parts that have to survive heat, vibration, and abuse, where being off by a hair is the difference between a part that works and a part that fails. That's the standard we were trained to hold, and it's the only one we know how to build to.

We're also golfers. Not great ones. Stubborn ones.

The problem we kept running into

Both of us play for the same reason: that one shot. The one that comes out of nowhere, does exactly what you pictured, and reminds you why you keep showing up.

And every single time, there was nobody there to capture it.

You can lean a phone against your bag. You can carry a tripod nobody wants to carry. You can hold up a selfie stick and put it right in the middle of the shot. None of it works when you're out there just playing, with only your group and a camera that's pointed the wrong way.

We got tired of choosing between playing the round and capturing it. So we did what we've always done — we went out to the garage and started building.

The HoleShot Camera Stick

The HoleShot Camera Stick turns something already out there on every hole into a camera rig. Nothing extra to haul. Nothing to set up. Nothing hanging in your shot.

We designed it the same way we'd approach a race car part: carbon fiber, machined components, real materials chosen for a reason — not the cheapest thing that survives a product photo. Every line on the bill of materials had to earn its place.

Who you're buying from

HoleShot Golf is the two of us. Same idea, same frustration, same decision to solve it properly instead of complaining about it in the cart on the way to the next tee. We're a small operation — which means when you buy from us, you're buying from the people who designed the thing, sourced the parts, and answered your email.

What we're building

The Camera Stick is the start, not the finish. We're building HoleShot for golfers who want to capture their round without turning it into a production — better gear, better content, and a community of people who'd rather be playing than fiddling with equipment.

We built this so we'd never miss that one shot again. Now it's yours too.
